From his first professional production Natieven in 1989 Feri de Geus' oeuvre can be described as multi-disciplinary, presenting dancers singing, actors and singers dancing etc. The identity of his work is made up by a strong sense of visualizing time-touched themes, sometimes visionary, sometimes reflective. His work is intellectually composed, mixing both abstract dance and concrete text in a natural way.
In later years his themes have become more political and directed towards actuality in worldwide societies. Examples of these are Euroblues, 1998, a political satire on a United Europe, Beautiful People, 1999, demonstrating the impotent European attitude towards the Balkan civil war and The Eye, the Other, 2001, reflections of four white people on the African continent escaping a presumed millennium bug.
